The communicator's screen turned off after the modifications were complete. After a few seconds the screen turned on again and the device began to emit a subtle and quiet static. Instead of a grid the screen had become a fluctuating oscilloscope, spiking and undulating with the frequencies.
After half a minute of static the careful listeners in the room could pick up something different. It was distant and drowned out in the useless noise but there was definitely a voice, a feminine voice. And it sounded like it was crying.

Arsenal looked around. "If I may ask, WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON!?" He yelled, confused. He didn't know what was happening. Well, that's what you get for coming late... His eyes widened. Arsenal just shook his head.

Terra never thought she'd see the day where she had to be the calm rational one - where she'd have to take charge. "We don't know," she told Arsenal, trying her best to be soothing. "This...isn't really normal."
Starfire, meanwhile, was along Beast Boy's route of panic, gripping her communicator and not taking her eyes off of Jet. She anxiously awaited an answer but expressed her desire for one visually rather than vocally.
The world flashed gray for a moment for Kako, but she shook it off. The soft crying, the panic...something about it made her recall something - something that refused to make itself clear. "...I-I'm going to find Shuei." Her words were all but mumbled as she stumbled out of the room to look for her godfather.
Suzaku kept his eyes on her. He wanted to tell Gaia to follow her - for the girl was needed - but no, that would be too risky. Memories or not, Kako could take care of herself. Gaia had to stay with the group, for she was weak and tired.

"Calm down.. Jeeze. I can't follow the signal If you all are using your communicator's." Jet said in a raised voice, "We've got something coming in.. We can follow that." He added with a softer tone in a attempt to ease the excitement as he took a look at the modified communicator for the source of the crying's signal.

Beastboy nodded understanding and flipping shut his own communicator, "Alright then, lead on."
Jinx moved swiftly through the titans to the main computer and fiddled with it to make sure the security was turned on after they left. If Kako was going to stay with Shuei then they needed protection.
Noir was silent as he ever was watching the events with an almost unreadable expression that, it was almost angry in it's intense eyes but that was simply how he always looked these days.
